Thurs, 9/13/18  •  7-8pm
Do you know where Douglas Park got its name? What event drew 4,000 people to the park? Do you recognize the names Jim Thorpe, Curly Lambeau or George Halas?  What is the park’s connection to the NFL?  Who were the Rock Islanders? What is happening at the park today? Where can I learn more about the Friends of Douglas Park?  Learn the answers to these questions and more at a program on Historic Douglas Park that will be presented on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Hauberg Estate as part of the Hauberg History Series.  The program is sponsored by Friends of Hauberg Civic Center and Rock Island Preservation Society.  Cost is $5.00 at the door, but free to the members of FOHCC, RIPS and Friends of Douglas Park.
